We’re currently working on three planning proposals. These are planning documents which explain how Council is proposing to amend its Local Environmental Plan. Once they are completed they are submitted to the NSW Department of Planning and Infrastructure for approval to proceed and place on public exhibition.
Mosman Local Environmental Plan 2012
Mosman Local Environmental Plan (LEP) 2012 was finalised and approved by the Minister for Planning and Infrastructure in late 2011, and published on the NSW Legislation Website on 9 December 2011. It came into effect on 1 February 2012, and consists of a written instrument and maps.
In our last update (June 2011), it was reported that the draft Mosman LEP is nearing completion, however some issues still remain unresolved and are the subject of discussion between Council and the Dept. of Planning & Infrastructure.
After a period of development, the Draft Mosman LEP was exhibited in October 2009, and submitted to the Department of Planning & Infrastructure in August 2010. Council and the Department have been negotiating over some clauses and land use issues in the Plan, and Council is still waiting for the Plan to be made.
