Remote Work and Change to Duty Planning Service

Mar 25, 2020 Planning News

Council’s Urban Planning team is trialing working remotely this week, using Zoom to conduct our regular team meetings, as a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic.

At this time when we are all concerned for each other’s safety and health, Council has redesigned the delivery of our duty planning service to ensure equitable access for the community.

You can access the duty planning service in a number of ways, by:

  • emailing
  • phoning the duty planning number 9978 4214, or
  • visiting and clicking on the Ask Joe button

To ensure compliance with social distancing protocols there will be no face to face meetings with the duty planner at Council. If you would like to discuss the matter using an online meeting in order to accommodate various people, for example, property owner, architect, consultant etc you may request a zoom meeting by emailing, and we will organise one for you.

We appreciate your understanding as we move to an online environment.

Regular updates about current planning projects we’re working on will continue to be posted on our Urban Planning website and in our bi-monthly newsletter. Sign up now to receive the newsletter direct to your inbox Any enquiries about current projects can be directed to us via phone or email, details below.

Stay safe.
The Urban Planning Team.
