Proposed amendments to Mosman’s Development Control Plans and Contributions Plan are on public exhibition from 19 April to 17 May 2018.
Proposed Amendments to Mosman Development Control Plans (DCPs)
Council is proposing to amend Mosman Development Control Plans (DCPs) to make a series of housekeeping amendments and to update heritage rankings provisions. The DCPs provide detailed planning and design controls to supplement the provisions of Mosman Local Environmental Plan 2012. The amendments are relatively minor in nature and primarily update the DCPs to ensure their currency with NSW planning legislation and policy, and to correct errors, omissions or provide clarity of content.
Proposed Amendments to Mosman Contributions Plan
Council is proposing to replace the current Section 94A Development Contributions Plan 2016 with a new Contributions Plan. Contributions (previously Section 94A Contributions) are payments made by persons undertaking development work to help fund the provision of public facilities in accordance with Section 7.12 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.
The draft Contributions Plan maintains the same level of contributions as the previous Plan, however the draft plan updates references to legislation and includes an updated schedule of projects that would be funded including:
- Redevelopment of the Allan Border Oval Pavilion and the Middle Head Oval Pavilion;
- Playground upgrades at Bay Street Reserve, Clifton Gardens Reserve, Hunter Park and Reid Park;
- Implementation of the Mosman Bicycle Plan and Pedestrian Access and Mobility Plan; and
- Upgrades to the Mosman Swim Centre and Balmoral Baths
