Exempt and Complying Development DCP no longer applies in Mosman

In accordance with Clause 1.9 of State Environmental Planning Policy (Exempt and Complying Development Codes) 2008, or the Codes SEPP, as from 1 September 2011, if a person proposes to carry out a type of development that is covered in Mosman’s Exempt and Complying Development DCP and the Codes SEPP, the development can only proceed as complying development or exempt under the Codes SEPP. In other words, Mosman’s Exempt and Complying DCP has now been “switched off”.

NSW Government releases new State Plan NSW 2021

The NSW Government released the State Plan – NSW 2021, at the beginning of September.  This ten year plan replaces the 2006 State Plan as the Government’s key strategic business plan. It sets priority areas for action and guides NSW resource allocation in conjunction with the State Budget. The Plan is divided into five key strategic areas– rebuilding the economy; returning quality services; renovating infrastructure; strengthening local environment and community; and restoring accountability. Within the strategies are several set targets and action plans.

Updates on the Draft Mosman LEP

After a period of development, the Draft Mosman LEP was exhibited in October 2009, and submitted to the Department of Planning & Infrastructure in August 2010.  Council and the Department have been negotiating over some clauses and land use issues in the Plan, and Council is still waiting for the Plan to be made.
