Heritage Amendments to Mosman LEP 2012

At the Council Meeting on 3 May 2016, Council resolved to make some amendments to Mosman Local Environmental Plan (LEP) 2012 in respect of Mosman’s heritage:

  1. To correct an error in the heritage listing of Item I291 ‘Group of Shops’ by removing this listing from 37 Spofforth Street, Mosman, and applying this listing to the adjoining property 37A Spofforth Street, Mosman
  2. To more clearly identify the location of archaeological sites listed in the LEP on publicly owned land

The planning proposal to make these amendments will now be finalised, and it is anticipated the plans will be made by June 2016.

Both reports can be viewed on Council’s website on the Agenda for the 3 May 2016 Council Meeting at http://mosman.nsw.gov.au/council/meetings/council-agendas-and-minutes-2016/

The proposal to more clearly identify the location of archaeological sites on privately owned land was deferred pending further consideration of issues raised in submissions received.  A further report on this matter will be considered by Council in the coming months.
